Jessica grew up outside of Edmonton, Alberta. With a focus in animal science & ecology, she graduated with her bachelor’s degree from the University of Alberta before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with the University of Calgary. From there, she moved to New York City where she worked and completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery, with a focus on emergency medicine. Her love of the outdoors eventually drew her back out West, initially to Vancouver and now Squamish. She has special interests in emergency medicine, pain management, and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, where she has additional training and certifications in veterinary acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapy, and is also in the final stretch of completing her Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM). When not at work, you can find her skiing, running, hiking, and camping with her two dogs, Ninja and Lenny, loving the Sea to Sky lifestyle!
