Originally from Toronto Ontario, Julie’s family pulled her out to the west coast where her interests in skiing, biking and animal care were able to flourish. Julie first attended the University of British Columbia School of Human Kinetics before returning to Ontario to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Guelph. Her parents, three sisters and the mountains drew her back this way where she and her husband, Mike have now started a family of their own with their son and daughter, Cedric and Tessa; their dogs, Ted and Bernie; and their cat, Meilo. She feels grateful to be able to call Squamish home and Eagleview Veterinary Clinic her workplace for the past 10 years. Outside of work, you’ll often find her in the forest with her children teaching them about the plants and animals with whom we share this beautiful coastal temperate rainforest. As a family, you may see them skiing or biking. After hours, Julie is a member of Whistler’s women’s hockey league, Squamish’s Ultimate Player’s Association and the Sea to Sky Women’s Soccer Association.
